A couple weeks ago, Nick and I revisited Roxborough State Park to climb up Carpenter Peak. At 7160ft above sea-level, it is a rather small mountain comparatively. The hike is 6.4 miles round trip, so it was moderately challenging. The real draw of this area is the rock formations, which are the same that make up Garden of the Gods, Red Rocks State Park, and The Flat Irons. It was a gorgeous day, but it was a bit hot.

My Yogi Friend
My friend, Blythe, is what you would call a "yogi". She teaches Vinyasa, or Flow Yoga. This type of yoga focuses on the synchronization of breathing and movement. This synchronization is often called "flow" because it is very smooth and dance-like. Also, she works for a company that sells yoga clothing. I admire her because she has taken her hobby and turned it into her career, something I hope to one day accomplish. I have been helping her to establish and market her yoga business. I designed this logo. We intend to print it on business cards, flyers, posters, t-shirts, and potentially other forms of advertising.
Yesterday, Blythe and I headed to Roxborough State Park early in the morning. The weather was unseasonably warm and sunny. It was wonderful. We couldn't resist sitting in a field for awhile just to bask in the sun. Other than basking, we did a little hiking, and I took several pictures of her doing many of her favorite asanas, or poses. She is submitting her favorite into a Yoga-Photo Contest. Also, we will be using some of the photos for marketing purposes, as well.

Summer vs. Winter
Last summer, Nick and I took a trip to Roxborough State Park. I was able to capture some breathtaking photos.
I was able to make it back to Roxborough yesterday, and though it felt like Spring, evidently it is still very much winter here in Colorado.

Sunrise is a Magical Time
Last night, we put aside any semblance of a social life we have and went to bed early. We woke up before the sun was out, and drove to Roxborough State Park. Mainly, I went to work on a couple projects I'm doing for school. However, I was able to still fit my photography hobby in. It led me further to conclude, sunrise is a magical time. The city stands quiet, the roads free of traffic, the deer graze openly, and the only people around are the ones who know the enchantment of the hour as well.
