Deer Creek Canyon

   A few weeks ago, we went on another adventure with friends to Deer Creek Canyon. It was an overcast day, but I tend to enjoy these days in Colorado, as they are few and far between. There were rumors of a black bear sighting in the area, which we never did spot but it made the hike a little more exciting.

Today, Dad, Nick, Moe, Buddy, and I went for a hike in Deer Creek Canyon. It was a warm day and a bit overcast. Great hiking weather. It was pretty snowy and slushy, but with the help of some YakTrax, we managed not to slip too much. Moe is turning into quite the hiking extraordinaire. He proves that you should never underestimate the little guy. He maintains almost unbreakable focus on the trail and loves to challenge himself by climbing up giant boulders. I didn't bring my camera, but I managed to snap a photo on the way home with my Blackberry.
